Our Story
Santhome Parish, where faith blossoms, community thrives, and every individual finds a place to belong.
Every parish has a story, and ours at Santhome Parish is one filled with the faith and devotion of a vibrant community and our shared journey towards God. For over a quarter of a century, our beloved parish has stood as a steadfast cornerstone of spiritual life, profoundly impacting the lives of countless individuals and families. It has consistently served as a cherished sanctuary - a peaceful haven where worries can fade and spirits can be refreshed. Beyond its spiritual role, Santhome Parish has always been a dynamic centre for social activity, fostering connections, building friendships, and providing a space for parishioners to engage with one another and with the wider community.
At Santhome Parish, we are proud to be home to over 400 families. Each family brings its own story and background, creating a rich and diverse tapestry. We often describe ourselves as One Big Family, united by our shared faith and devotion. This isn't just a saying; it's a feeling you'll experience from the moment you step through our doors. Here, you'll always find open arms, a compassionate ear, and a helping hand whenever you need it. It’s a place where you truly belong.

Our Parish History
For over 25 years, Santhome Parish has been a cornerstone of faith and community in our area. Its story began modestly in 1998, finding its first home at the 'Santhome Study House' in Hulimavu. From those humble beginnings, our parish has blossomed into a cherished sanctuary, a sacred place of worship, and a vibrant centre for social activity.
As the patron of our church, St. Thomas stands as a timeless reminder that God meets us in our doubts, transforms our questions into conviction, and calls us to a bold, personal mission of truth and witness.

Serving Beyond Our Parish
Santhome Church holds a unique and vital position as the Regional Office and Pastoral Centre of Bishop of Mandya Diocese, Mar Sebastian Edayanthruth. The parish also hosts the Family Apostolate of Mandya Diocese. This designation means we play a crucial role in supporting the broader diocesan mission, serving as a hub for various diocesan initiatives, events, and also a central point for supporting and nurturing families across the entire diocese.
