Holy Childhood

In Holy Childhood, children learn the beauty of prayer, the joy of sharing, and the importance of kindness in daily life. Through stories of the saints, small acts of charity, and simple yet meaningful devotions, they grow in wisdom and faith. And when the time comes for them to receive their Solemn Holy Communion, they are gently encouraged to take the next step in their spiritual journey by joining the Cherupushpa Mission League (CML).

Our Patron is Infant Jesus, whose tender love inspires our motto: Hand in hand with Infant Jesus. Just as Jesus welcomed children with open arms, we welcome them here—guiding them to walk with Him every day.

The roots of Holy Childhood stretch far beyond our parish. Established in 1843 by Bishop Charles de Forbin-Janson in France, it is known in many parts of the world as Mission Together. Across the globe, children are united in a shared mission: to pray for one another, to give joyfully, and to support both the spiritual and physical needs of those in difficult circumstances.

Our mission is simple yet profound—to nurture the faith and missionary spirit of children, preparing them for a lifelong journey of devotion and service. Our vision is of a Spirit-filled community where even the youngest are active participants in the Church’s work of evangelization.

Every gathering of Holy Childhood is a moment of grace—whether it’s praying together on a Sunday, joining in small acts of charity, or simply learning to see the face of Jesus in a friend. Through these moments, children are encouraged to offer prayers, make small personal sacrifices, and share what they have with those in need. In doing so, they become not only learners of the faith, but also little missionaries of love.
